CM: Milan entrust scout in South America with mission – three leagues and two positions prioritised

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a scout working in South America under very specific instructions as the management eye reinforcements from across the ocean, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write that Milan – who have often shopped in the French market in recent transfer windows – are now looking at the potential of uncovering the next big gem from South America and they have a man feeding information back to the management.

The report claims that work is being done by a scout who is very close to Geoffrey Moncada and is clearly someone he trusts, and he is operating under specific obstructions. He has the task of viewing three leagues by mandate, namely the Argentine, the Brazilian and the Uruguayan top flights.

Not only that, but Milan have told him that they are in the market to find two players: one being a centre-forward – with four targets linked, all of South American descent – and a central defender who is ready for the big leap across to Europe.
