Mundo Deportivo: Milan monitoring out-of-favour Barcelona defender’s situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have identified the player they believe could be a good deputy to Theo Hernandez in Alejandro Balde of Barcelona, a report claims.

A number of sources have suggested that Milan will look to upgrade in the left-back area given that Fode Ballo-Toure has not fully convinced since his arrival in summer 2021 from Monaco.

According to a report from the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo (via PianetaMilan), the Rossoneri management are closely following in the situation of Alejandro Balde Martínez who is currently at Barcelona.

Under Barca head coach Xavi he has not been a regular starter given the presence of Jordi Alba. Furthermore, his contract expires in June 2024 and the Devil would like to make an attempt to bring him to Milan.

Barça, however, are persisting with their attempts to get his renewal sorted and thus close the door to any potential exit for the time being.
