With Sergio Conceicao heading towards an exit, it seems that ideas are already flowing about a potential replacement at AC Milan, and as things stand, the club are looking for an Italian solution.
Since the first rumblings of Stefano Pioli’s sacking, there have been so many different names linked with the Milan job. From abroad or domestically, the club have looked at every different profile and system under the sun, which perhaps is quite a suggestion about things, and no rock has been left unturned.
Now, after two failed Portuguese appointments, it seems the club are going to look to wipe out half of the potential targets, and return to an Italian head coach on the touchline.
Calciomercato.com reports that the time for ‘betting’ is over, and the club must act on what they know. A ‘revolution’ is being planned yet again, with the report stating that only a domestic coach could oversee the changes required in the team.
At present, Massimiliano Allegri is the favourite to take over the reigns next season, ‘without a doubt’. A motivator, someone who knows the club and a ‘normaliser’, he is seen as the ideal to settle things, however, Roberto De Zerbi remains as an option too.
Considering Igli Tare’s record of appointing and working with Italian coaches, it certainly strengthens both ideas.
Non Allegri – Change multiple Times Coach – pls dont becone actually Manu.
That would be like sacking Conceicao and then appointing a replacement that is exactly the same style.
If that is the style of play you want then I’d rather give Conceicao a proper preseason.
I’m not impressed with Conceicao since he started. But I just don’t see the point in sacking him and replacing with Allegri.
Bingo 💯
Either go for RDZ or stick with Conceicao. Management need to realise they are the main problem, we are turning into man united losing all identity / structure and chopping changing coaches frequently
Allegri renderà il Milan ancora peggiore
No not allegri men ugh for all the money milan is spending just buy pioli from al nasr back
I still agree on brining Pioli, He knew how handle all the so called stars – Theo , Mike, pulisic, Leao.
He was quite good in all the season he was in charge, especially after that horrible time after marco giampolo , He took team for almost a year of not losing a matching during that covid lockdown.
Many were criticized him not because milan didnt win the league but Inter won.
Still he is a much better alternative.
I would also like to see Maldini back in his role, he boughts gems into the squad, Mike, theo, leao, brahim, tomori, thaiw, kalulu, tonali. also increased the team value, a title and a UCL semi-final in a injury fed season.
Maldini knows what milan needs and what seria A is.
Or go for ten hag he is free in some months
Well Allegri is a proven coach. It depends on what Milan want next summer, do they want results or do they want beautiful style of play… personally I prefer entertainment from beautiful and tactical play because I’m not paying to watch grown men produce 2 shots on target for 90 minutes. He’s the kind of manager that plays it safe, not a risk taker, not a gambler and only takes chances when they appear rather than creating them, his whole system is based on solidity(which Milan needs right now), and even though I find it extremely boring, I can respect that…and I really think he can win the Scudetto with this squad. This squad is arguably the most complete in Italy except for 1 or 2 positions (DM and CB), miles better than the shit Juve team that played for him last season and some may say that considering he had a weak team and all the off field issues and hostility from the sporting director and fans and half the dressing room…he actually over achieved (if the first half of last season was anything to go by), in the second half of last season that collapse was overdue because when nothing is working and everyone is against you, even your own fans, team and colleagues, things are destined to fall apart…but he’s a proven winner, guaranteed… and if they appoint him, Milan might lift the Scudetto sometime in 2026-2027, but you’ll fall asleep when watching the matches
Yes definitely agree with everything. Now there is a mess and we need cleaner, someone who now how to fix all issues. This is what we need now, not beautiful football but wins , rather win 1:0 or 2:1 and qualify to CL , not lose to Bologna or Torino … Our squad is great, there is only Inter who is stronger but also they have a problem with us.. if we have someone strong from start , we fight with Inter and Napoli for 1th place..
If we get Allegri then I give up. He’s the worst you can get with his slow defensive defeatist tactics who plays the older players and never gives the young players a chance when the game is faster. There’s a reason why no one wants him. He’s lying agent used to say Real Madrid were interested. They wouldn’t hire him if he was the last manager on earth.
This would be like sacking Fonseca and replacing him with Conceicao…oh wait we did that already…
They want the sure thing but they said no to Conte in the summer who was practically begging to come in. Now they want Max. Dense.
Allegri would be a transition manager to steady the ship at best. Not a long term prospect. I’d rather us bet on De Zerbi and at least have a clear identity. Have team that we can be proud of even when we lose because we still played well
Milan need a coach like De Zerbi, someone with a clear identity that he doesnt change like the weather changes.
Then a sporting director with the sole goal to give the coach exactly the type of players he needs to play his way of football.
Thats how you build a successful team.
If I hear Roberto de zerbi again, am going to lose it
Conceição needs time he will stay or Milan will have consequences.
Just need better and hard working players.
Unfortunately, when you bring in a new manager I believe you set a team back 3-6 months in developing a style of play. I was against firing Pioli who managed a 2nd place finish, albeit with no trademark wins. I would keep Conceicao if he runs the table. If not, get a new manager.
His style is ugly, but I’m ok with this and actually I hope he will be our next coach…
After this two experiment’s, first with Fonseca and second with Conceicao, we need Italian coach. Alegri is a winner, has a strong mentality and Juve under him finish almost every time in top 3. ( of course with many scudettos).. Conceicao maybe is a good coach , but he needs a more time to train his tactics, but he don’t have time.. De Zerbi is also just experiment because also Fonseca was good in France..
I really like Fabregas, his motivation and style, but still if we want immediately go to the CL and fight for trophys…Alegri is only choice
I agree that AC Milan needs an Italian coach in charge and Allegri should be a perfect fit consider the success he had with Milan and Juventus. I think Conceicao is A great coach but he is trying to do too much in a short term to prove himself. The problem for him was that the players didn’t help the cause when put in charge and made it difficult to get results and obviously it is easy to blame the coach than the entire squad.
Sacking Conceicao would be a big blunder. Give him a proper DM and a preseason to work with. His aggressive style of play can numb any team.
