SM: Milan take action after countless muscle injuries and hire Head of Performance

AC Milan’s injury problems have once again been disruptive to the current season continuing a trend from the previous couple of years, and it seems some action has been taken.

Milan’s season has been heavily conditioned by injuries with several players sustaining muscle problems, something that will keep Ismael Bennacer and Fikayo Tomori out of Sunday’s derby against Inter.

Precisely for this reason, our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report that the management have decided to run for cover by hiring Andreja Milutinovic for a few months now in the role of ‘Head of Performance’.

He will be a sort of athletic training expert who will help Pioli and his staff in the prevention and recovery of certain muscle problems. He used to work with Dusan Vlahovic, while today he is also assisting Marcelo Brozovic,.

Milutinovic has not yet been officially included in the Rossoneri organisational chart but it should soon be official, and he could be the real coup of an otherwise quiet January.
