This weekend, AC Milan will face Sassuolo with a chance of securing Champions League football for next season.
If all goes to plan this weekend, Milan will be a Champions League outfit again next weekend. They must do their own job, but then it is in the hands of Roma and Como. If both lose, the Rossoneri can relax a little.
However, they will not be approaching the game with that in mind. Instead, they will be focusing on their own task at hand, and presuming that they will need to win another game next weekend to ensure they get a place in Europe.
Milan continue without caution
Saying that, Allegri will not make sacrifices for this game. The Italian has never been fond of making changes to avoid suspensions and it seems unlikely that he will do so here, despite five players being at risk.
As MilanNews reports, Zachary Athekame, Pervis Estupinan, Youssouf Fofana, Rafael Leao, and Alexis Saelemaekers are all at risk of missing the game against Atalanta due to the yellow cards they have accumulated this season.
Though, Allegri is expected to start four of the five. Considering how big of a fixture this is, he will not risk any chance to get a Champions League place wrapped up.
AC Milan predicted XI vs. Sassuolo (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Jashari, Rabiot, Estupinan; Leao, Nkunku
