It looks as though Stefano Pioli could well have a full squad available for tomorrow’s game against Napoli, at least based on who left for the airport.
As reported by Manuele Baiocchini on Sky (via MilanNews), the Milan squad reached Milan Malpensa airport this afternoon and are ready to fly to Naples ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.
All players present in the UEFA squad list were there for the departure including Olivier Giroud, Simon Kjaer and Malick Thiaw. It is good news regarding the French forward in particular given that he missed the training session on Sunday after reporting Achilles discomfort.
Kjaer meanwhile does not have any worries either despite the fact that he was not a part of the trip to Bologna at the weekend and instead stayed in Milano to manage his workload.
Thiaw did individual training today having come off before the end of the game at the Renato Dall’Ara but is seemingly fit enough for the Napoli game.
Buona fortuna, ragazzi! We will triumph, despite the defeatist mentality and the bizarre pessimism shown by many.
