Originally, there was going to be a move to San Donato for AC Milan. However, these plans changed and could change again.
When the ground was bought in San Donato, it was for a new stadium. The message from Milan was clear, San Donato would be the new area for the stadium, even when San Siro seemed the more likely and probable option.

In fact, even during contracts to keep San Siro, the club wanted to have clauses in the deal to protect the idea of a future move to the new land. However, that is no longer the case with San Siro plans progressing.
New plans for land
So, this leaves San Donato free for something else. Since there have been several rumours about the land and what could happen and today, the latest has been revealed. As Cittadino di Lodi (via Milan Press) report, the ground could be used for a ‘new Milanello’.
The idea to make a new sports centre has been present for a while, and now it ‘could become reality’. However, it rests on San Siro working out as an option for the Rossoneri. After all, the land is still capable of hosting either project. Though it seems less likely that it will be made a commercial area.
Milan should build it’s own stadium to enhance it’s source of income to compete with the big boys in Europe.
