AC Milan could be set to gain a nice bit of revenue if Lyon decide to sell Lucas Paqueta this summer, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com cite The Times in reporting that the newly cash-rich Newcastle United are ready to make some big investments on the market to become more and more ambitious, building on their mid-table finish from last season.
The paper claims that the Magpies are preparing a big offer for the former Milan player Lucas Paqueta, who had 11 goals and 7 assists last season, becoming a staple of Peter Bosz’s team. A proposal of around €60m is being readied to convince Lyon to sell another midfielder to them after Bruno Guimaraes.
Newcastle have been after the Brazilian for some time and he is now the number one target for their midfield, while the news also affects Milan as the Rossoneri in fact have the right to 15% of the proceeds of the player’s future resale, so a €60m fee would see them get €9m.
He’s gonna get crushed in the EPL.
He will be the perfect addition to the Newcastle team and can pair up with his bud Bruno
i think Lyon will be the big beneficiar in case of the sale. Milan will go from -18 to -9 at best while Lyon to a + 31
