At San Siro, the Curva Sud held protests against RedBird and the management of AC Milan. However, they were not the only ones protesting this weekend.
Around Milan, RedBird are not viewed positively. Since coming into the club, the Rossoneri have spiralled downwards with questionable decisions made fairly regularly. Even this year, where a return to the Champions League looked almost guaranteed, the late stages of the season have seen the toxicity return.

It is a puzzling position for the ownership to be in, they are almost damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Nevertheless, Milanisti are not the only fanbase with issues with RedBird.
Milan not alone in protest
As Calciomercato.com reports, in France, Toulouse also hosted their own protests against RedBird. During their win against Lyon, a banner was shown questioning the future of their club amid reports that they could become a transitional club for the Diavolo.
Their message was clear: “RedBird, one year later and still no response. What is your plan for TFC?”
It is not the first protest that Toulouse have held against their American ownership and it probably will not be the last as they remain in the dark about the future of their club. Few answers have arrived, so it remains to be seen if anything will be said about their latest protest.
What is clear, though, is that the two RedBird clubs are aligned and it is not an alignment that the ownership can afford to see.

“In light of the assessments carried out by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, with particular reference to aspects related to the management of public order and urban mobility in conjunction with a globally significant event such as the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, currently underway at the Foro Italico, it has been decided that the Roma-Lazio football match will be played on Monday, May 18, 2026, starting at 8:45 PM .”
This is the ANSA statement in which the Rome Prefecture announced the postponement of the Rome derby. This decision would affect all teams involved in the Champions League race.
Journalist Franco Ordine writes in X: “The Serie A League is appealing to the TAR against the decision of the Prefect of Rome to move the Rome derby to Monday evening, thus forcing – in order to safeguard contemporaneity – the other 4 matches involved in the race for the Champions League to be played at the same time on Monday evening .”
If the TAR upholds the appeal, then AC Milan, and the other teams involved in the Champions League race, will play on Sunday as originally scheduled. Otherwise, the match will be played on Monday evening.
