Tuttosport: Milan not done shopping in France after seven recent signings – two more targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been doing a lot of shopping in France in recent transfer windows and there is no sign of that stopping according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report how the French Ligue 1 has become one of the markets from which the Rossoneri have signed the most players since Geoffrey Moncada became the chief scout. The likes of Leao, Kalulu, Tatarusanu, Pellegri, Maignan and Ballo-Touré have joined, while Adli will arrive after his loan at Bordeaux.

Milan are not done there though, because Sven Botman and Renato Sanches – both of whom play at Lille – are also on the wish list. The Dutchman is the number one target for the centre-back role and the management tried to land him in January, as they did with the Portuguese midfielder.

Contacts with Botman’s agents are continuous and a general agreement has already been found, but a deal with Lille must still be struck. As for Renato Sanches, a fee was agreed with Lille in the winter but an agreement was not found with the player who stayed in France to assess his options. He must lower his salary requests in order for the operation to go through.
