Relevo: Milan to offer Oddo six-month deal with Futuro – the reasoning why

Daniele Bonera has now officially been sacked from his role as the AC Milan Futuro head coach, and his replacement may only be at the club for six months.

The Futuro project has not gone to plan so far, and there is a real possibility that the Milan team could be relegated from Serie C in its first year, despite having a good range of talent among the ranks. Unfortunately, this has meant that Daniele Bonera had to leave.

This afternoon, the club announced that he has been sacked, but a more permanent idea is not the plan for his replacement. Instead, the club are only looking to give Massimo Oddo a six-month deal, according to Relevo (via Milan News).

In the report, it is stated that Oddo will be given a chance for a one-year renewal if he is able to achieve ‘salvation’ with this team in the remaining few months of the season. Perhaps, this will be in an attempt to get another coach in.

There has been persistent interest in Alberto Bollini, but he currently does not have interest in leaving the National Team set-up. Perhaps, with a few months to see the squad’s potential, and a ‘proper’ starting point, his viewpoint could be changed.

    1. It’s sad man.

Meanwhile the Abate they sidelined for Bonera is currently 2nd with his team, Ternana. Won 17 games, lost 3, drawn 8.

Before this management will realise how amateur they are it will be too late. And Redbird would have lost his business that he claims he has a mind for.

      1. LOL

“Ex-Milan defender sacked and re-hired over President’s son row at Ternana”

He was out for a day. Same sh1t, different club. Whether it’s Zlatan’s boy or someone elses… 🙂

        1. Abate was not our best right back in his playing days, but the guy has got some guts. He walked away from 2 clubs because the big shots imposed players on him. Ibra fired the guy just because he wanted a guaranteed position for his son. He is doing well at Ternana actually, even the players went to protest when he was fired. He also won his first game after resuming as coach.
Ibra fired Ottavio, brought his buddy from the US and the team is still struggling. Ibra fired Fonseca and the senior team is struggling too.
Ibra should take one for the team and walk away.

          1. I am not sure if Ibra fired anybody. RedBird pays his wage, not Milan. Of course Ibra could have “adviced” Milan directors to kick Abate out etc. but I don’t think so.
