Tuttosport: Milan open talks with Real Madrid to drop Diaz price tag

AC Milan have opened talks with Real Madrid to try and drop the asking price to make Brahim Diaz’s loan deal permanent, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are trying to get the price for the Spaniard lowered to €13-15 million.

Diaz is on a two-year loan from the Spanish side which will come to an end on June 30, 2023. The redemption fee to make the move permanent is currently set at €22 million but Milan feel that is now too high and not a figure they can reach along with other potential deals.

That is why talks are already underway with the Spanish champions to get the fee discounted.

Diaz has become an important part of the team for Stefano Pioli in the past 18 months and he is the regular starter behind the striker. It would be a blow to lose him and need to spend money or wages on a new equivalent.
