AC Milan are still looking to sign a midfielder as we enter the last two weeks of the mercato and Raphael Onyedika remains the number on target, a report claims.
According to what Gianluca Di Marzio told Sky during Calciomercato L’originale (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are persisting with their attempts to sign a new central midfielder and in particular with their pursuit of Raphael Onyedika.
The young FC Midtjylland star is the absolute first choice target, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara currently at work to try to lower the economic demands of the Danish club in order to push the negotiations through.
However, Di Marzio mentions that there is confidence in the positive outcome of the negotiation.
The 21-year-old plays as a defensive midfielder for Midtjylland and in the previous campaign he made an impressive 48 appearances across all competitions, showing that he can give guarantees from a physical point of view.
