CM: Milan want a quality striker in addition to Origi – the dream and an alternative

AC Milan are looking to give Stefano Pioli an even more competitive squad ahead of the 2022-23 season and they have some names in mind, a report claims.

Of course Milan will enjoy the Scudetto celebrations over the next few days but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are continuing to think about how to improve this squad even more. Calciomercato.com reports that the transfer of ownership will not affect the work of the transfer market, with work already underway.

The first signing will be Divock Origi as the 27-year-old Belgian striker will leave Liverpool to wear the Milan shirt. He should sign a four-year contract for around €4n net per season including bonuses.

However, the work on the centre-forward role will not stop only at Origi, because Maldini and Massara are at work to sign a quality number 9 for the future. Darwin Nunez of Benfica is the ‘forbidden dream’, while Sebastian Haller of Ajax is a possibility to follow.
