Tuttosport: Milan closing in on Liverpool’s Origi with personal terms agreed

By Mitchell Wilks -

Milan are close to agreeing personal terms with Divock Origi ahead of next season, according to a report.

Origi’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the current season, which has resulted in continued interest around Europe in the previous weeks and months.

The Rossoneri have been keen on closing a deal for the striker, and appear to be close, according to Tuttosport (via MilanNews). Both parties are working towards an agreement on a contract worth €4m per season, with talks scheduled in the coming hours to find the full agreement.

Signing the 26-year-old brings a much-needed younger option to Stefano Pioli’s striker department, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud both coming towards the end of their careers.

Milan have been patient in their pursuit of the Belgian, who brings Premier League and Champions League experience to the squad, as well as goals in a number of big fixtures.
