GdS: Two and who – Milan penalty takers for 2025-26 season revealed

AC Milan have not had a penalty yet this season. However, the list of takers has been revealed and there are no shocks.

Last season, Milan and penalties were a controversial topic. We all remember the situation against Fiorentina, where two different takers (not the allocated taker) stepped up and missed. The fallout from that was massive.

As the season played out, there were four goals scored from the spot. However, the 50% conversion record certainly was less than ideal. So, it is something that will hopefully be improved upon this season.

Penalty order

So far, the Rossoneri have not had a shot from the spot, but they almost did on Sunday. In fact, they almost definitely should have. However, we would not really have learnt anything from this event.

As Gazzetta dello Sport, via MilanPress, writes, Christopher Nkunku would have stepped up from 12 yards at the weekend; he won the penalty, and it would have wrapped up a pretty solid debut on his part.

However, he is not the first or second taker.

Instead, those mantles go to Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot. The former is no shock; he scored three of his four attempts last season. However, the secondary option being Rabiot, over someone like Santiago Gimenez or Rafael Leao, is a bit surprising.

Though in certain events, it may still be someone else, as long as all parties agree on the spot kick to be forfeited. For example, Nkunku consulted Rabiot and Pulisic this weekend.

  1. Pulisic, Modric, Nkunku, and Gimenez should be the only penalty takers, with Pulisic being the main penalty taker.
Rabiot has never taken a penalty during a game, while Pioli told us that even during training Leao doesn’t score penalties

  2. 2 more goals and an assist for Vlahovic today.
But, geniuses said don’t sign him even if he agrees to lower his salary because we’d be doing juve a favor.
4 goals in 4 games and he has played probably less than 150 minutes total.

    1. Yeah I also recall a few commenters saying that they wouldn’t even want him for free 😀
It was an extremely great opportunity we slipped through our fingers as I doubt we by now will get him in January or next summer.

      1. Relax, Vlahovic will have (if allowed) the best season ever, last year of contract… He will f*** his next club big time (same as he did to Juve).

    2. Come on, what was on the table according to the news was 30M fee to Juve, 15M signing bonus, 6M net salary. For a person who is in his last year of contract and is a guaranteed drama in the future and who honestly had two underwhelming seasons.

Maybe he would have been an excellent addition, mostly considering Allegri’s wishes. But that is a big maybe and there’s a lot of yellow/red flags with him you cannot just disregard. He definitely has a good start of the season.

    3. It’s sad he apparently he was willing to take 6mill our management missed a good opportunity at a fair salary for what I don’t even know
