Instead, the goal was ruled out due to a handball from Niclas Fullkrug, who had just entered the pitch. A dubious decision and one that has left Milanello ‘perplexed’.
Incorrect decision?
MilanNews24 relays words from Gazzetta dello Sport, which states that the footage does not really show any issue with Fullkrug’s involvement. This is both the case for the live footage, as well as when the club have analysed the situation since.
The coaching staff and management believe that ‘there wasn’t enough evidence’ of a handball to overturn the decision. After all, the German’s arm was close to his body, whilst the contact with the ball was minimal.
Indeed, it has left a bitter taste in the mouth, and had Luka Modric not scored late on, the outrage from the club would be much higher in a season where points mean so much.

I agree the officials have sucked this year. With all the legitimate bad calls that rob teams of points. These type of claims though equally are a waste of time. It was a clear hand ball. The photo shows the ball touching his arm while the arm is outstretched. Clear plain simple. Don’t distract from the actual bad calls. Right now after the inter Juve derby the AIA should be under investigation for corruption. It was so blatant that I couldn’t even relish the irony of Juve being out cheated!
It was a clear handball with impact cause Füllkrug would not have been able to get the ball to Rabiot without that touch.
