CorSport: The first ‘deadline day’ arrives – Milan’s plan for each loanee and loan signing

On Wednesday, almost all loan deals signed by Italian clubs will expire and that means there are some decisions to be made, and made quickly.

As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) reports, tomorrow all clubs will have to make a decision on the players who arrived on loan. It applies both ways too, given Milan welcomed some players on a temporary basis but also saw some depart.

Loan deadline arrives

When it comes to loan signings, Milan have already made their decision. There will be no negotiations opened for the permanent stays of Tammy Abraham and Joao Felix – who arrived on a dry loan – while Kyle Walker and Riccardo Sottil will not be bought permanently.

On the other hand, the future of Pierre Kalulu has been sorted as he was bought by Juventus. Another centre-back – namely Marco Pellegrino, who was on loan at Huracan – has also moved permanently, to Boca Juniors.

Yacine Adli, Noah Okafor and Lorenzo Colombo will return to Milanello to leave once again, while Alexis Saelemaekers could stay despite being admired by various abroad.

Finally, the future of Tommaso Pobega and Ismael Bennacer is in doubt. Bologna want to keep the Italian midfielder but wants to spend less than the €12m buy-out agreed as does Marseille with the Algerian midfielder. For both, they will try to find a solution that satisfies everyone.

  1. Benny was great in tandem with Kessie, but last two seasons he was always injured… now it’s time to move out and for him it will be definitely better to go… 10m€ is enough. … and if Max want Pobega , then definitely he can be good bench player.. If Bologna want him then for 15m€, no discount. He win with Bologna Cup this year , so if they want him then pay. Raijnders is out , hope Musah deal don’t collapse and also hope we sell Terracciano… then left Fofana, Bondo and RLC… BTW how much cost Bondo? 10m€?? Fantastic , he play together 6 matches

  2. Interesting.

Bennacer value on book is decreased a lot so Milan will accept lower fee with some bonuses. Still capital gain, but they will remove huge gross salary on books.

Pobega sale means capital gain. Probably also some bonuses or future percentage of sale.

Adli Colombo and Okafor. Young players on small fee of expenses.

Adli and Colombo already have good experience and why they can’t be second options in season with only serie a ?

Okafor. One bad season. Leao’s deputy or second central forward.

    These 3 I wouldn’t sale without good price….

  3. I don’t understand why the club would not want to keep Tammy. 10 goals and 7 assists in all competitions in limited playing time. That’s good production especially if you break it down per minutes played. Multiple game winning goals and assists. Better dribbler and passer than the other strikers we have.

    1. Yes in complexly he has good numbers , but when you look just in Seria A , where he play 28 games and has 3G and 4A it’s not impressive enough…now we play only seria A and we need striker with 10+ goals minimum…he is chaotic, not good in attack and so many opportunities miss…

    2. His salary is big issue. It would be difficult for Tammy without big numbers in serie to get 5+m salary.
I wish he will get a chance at Roma after a positive performance without injuries, eventually he can go back to Premier league if he continue this season.

    3. Jovic is more reliable and lower salary, plus never complains about being a sub, yet we won’t keep him for free apparently…
