Brahim Diaz of Milan

GdS: Milan plan to negotiate with Real Madrid over €22m man – the situation

AC Milan are planning to sit down with Real Madrid and discuss the future of Brahim Diaz ahead of the summer transfer window, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) this morning reports that the future of some players at Milan is uncertain and among those is Brahim Diaz. The Spaniard is currently in the second year of his loan spell from Real Madrid, and therefore the management will have to speak to Los Blancos and work out a plan.

There could well be a negotiation for Brahim Diaz with Real Madrid as €22m is needed to buy him permanently but the LaLiga champions have a buy-back set at €27m which they can exercise.

These figures could be reduced in the summer as relations between the two clubs are excellent, while a lot will depend on the will of the player given that he is currently experiencing one of his best periods at Milan.

    1. There’s no way you can claim Diaz is an average player when he helped Milan won a scudetto and got back to CL quarter finals.

  1. Stop bad mouthing Brahim. This guy gave us not just the winning goal but a very good performance against spurs. He deserves a permanent contract

      1. This season Diaz scored the winning goals against Udinese, Juve, Monza, Spurs as well as assist that won us against Salernitana.

To say he has done nothing is ignorant as fvck.

        1. so youre saying out of 25+ games he was influential 5 times.. thats pretty poor for a creative midfielder imao. Milan can find a better one…

          1. His records is not poor. We’re talking about a $20 million price AM who’s 23 years old and can still improve.

Not to mention Diaz also created a lot of key pass. His statistic shows he made 2 key pass /match. He could bag more assists on his record if his team mates doesn’t wasted plenty of chances from his key pass.

Sure Milan can spend money for another AM but they could have another CDK where the players needs times to adapt. Meanwhile Diaz already adapted well on Pioli’s system and his team mates.

If i’m Maldini, i rather spend 20 million for Diaz rather than spend 20-30 plus million for a new AM who could end up like CDK.

      2. Who else has proven to do better in that position?
Who runs toward defenders to pull them away from Giroud?
Aside, Leao in that attacking phase, who has proven better?

  2. In my opinion he is worth it, especially if MAldini get a discount. Best thing about him is he has that big game mentaliy. He also has very tight control of the ball which is very helpful and hard to teach. His passing and vision are subpar, but those are the things he can work on long term if we invest in him.

On the other hand if we are working on tight budget, it would be better to play CDK and Adli and spend the money on starter RW, and ST or 3rd CDM for rotation.

  3. Credit to him for the two leg performance against Tottenham, but if he’s to be bought then €22m is certainly still too high a fee for how inconsistent and indecisive he generally tends to be. Hopefully he can carry this recent CL form into the league. 🤞
