Due to the international break, AC Milan’s first team hasn’t been training at Milanello in the last few days. Instead, as a report states, the players will be back at the training ground on Monday.
A total of 15 players have been called up for international duty, including the youngsters who usually train/play with the first team was well, so there are just nine players left. Instead of training with the Milan Futuro all of these days, Paulo Fonseca thus decided to give the latter group some days off.
According to MilanNews, the following players are currently enjoying some time off: Sportiello, Calabria, Emerson Royal, Terracciano, Thiaw, Tomori, Fofana, Loftus-Cheek, Abraham. The injured players, meanwhile, are continuing their respective recovery programs.
Training will resume for everyone on Monday and in the first two days, there will be Milan Futuro players present as well. Those on international duty will then start to return and the manager should have a couple of days with them all ahead of the big Juventus clash.
The latter is a must-win for the Rossoneri, so it’s certainly not ideal that Fonseca will have very little time to work with the players. Hopefully, we will another Real Madrid-esque performance.
