Photos: Milan players react to Verona win on social media – “See you on Tuesday”

AC Milan managed to secure their second consecutive win in the league last night, beating Hellas Verona by the odd goal. Although it wasn’t the best performance, it allowed the players to breathe a sigh of relief.

A late goal from Santiago Gimenez was needed to clinch all three points and thus close in on Lazio in fourth place. There is still a lot that has to be improved but of course, the players were just happy to bag the win in what is a very hectic period.

On their social media, most of the players published some photos and messages after the success at San Siro. Feyenoord are up next on Tuesday evening, so they don’t have much time to celebrate, but of course a win is always an important morale boost.

  1. Like a defensive midfielder ? the thought has actually striked me before and I actually believe he started out as one in Schalke 04 before he was transformed into a cb. I like him as a cb though but I do believe he could be utilized as one when we are in dire need of one.

    1. reminded me of Busquets last night – assist for Gimenez when he was offside. Desai was brought in as CB so Capello moved him to DM and scored. I’d love to see how that would look, especially since we now have 4 CBs running and are short in the middle.

      1. Yeah it was a shame that goal didn’t stand but it was indeed offside. I actually thought you had mixed up things as I remembered it as he later on his career became a cb but after a bit of searching I can see you are absolutely correct there. It would indeed be interesting to see and Thiaw certainly has the size on his side to boss most oppositions players so I definitely wouldn’t oppose your suggestion.

  2. I fell for the red & black typical Milan colours when I became a Milan fan many years ago, but seeing Milan in away jerseys in home matches is disgusting and I am so furious about it.. Forza Milan

    1. I don’t like it either. AC Milan should always have a traditional red and black striped first shirt and then a black 2nd shirt and then a whit’ish one with a red and black stripe horizontally on the chest. Then they can do whatever they wanna do with a 4rth shirt. Unfortunately its very calculated what they are doing because having more variations each seasons probably gives a lot of people the sentiment to buy more.
I miss the old Mediolanum, Motta and Lotto shirts of the late 80ies and up through the 90ies.

        1. I know Mediolanum was a sponsor as it was a bank but couldn’t remember the exact shirt fabric but only the specific shirt. Motta though I did believe was the shirt fabric though but at least shirts from that time is my favored ones, Back to sponsors I also liked those where Opel was the sponsor.
