Tuttosport: Milan open to discussing Pobega sale with Torino as they must finance option to buy deals

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not completely closed the doors to the potential sale of Tommaso Pobega and will soon speak with Torino regarding his future, a report claims.

As Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com) reports, Pobega continues to go up in the estimations of Torino as he netted the winner for them yesterday with his fourth Serie A goal of the season. He is a key part of head coach Ivan Juric’s tactical plans and he feels important with the Granata.

The paper adds that two clubs will soon meet to discuss the potential for a permanent move for the Italy U21 international and the Rossoneri might open to the idea of selling as they need to raise cash to pay the options to buy currently in some of their deals.

Among the players on loan with option at the moment are Alessandro Florenzi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias.

  1. I thought they were going to swap him with Bremer. why would the club even want to permanently buy a bunch of losers like Bakayoko and Florenzi? If they actually sell Pobega to buy these guys I will lose all hope for Milan.

    1. Madness of the highest order. Selling gold to buy ordinary stone. Pobega is better than all the loanees. He should be called back and Bakayoko returned to Chelsea.

  2. So Milan wants to sell Pobega wich is having another good season so the get some money to finance one of option to buy of players that are not that good!
Pobega is younger, better, low wages and Milan dont to spend money to bring him permanently to the club like bakayoko how his older, higher wages, not that good and Milan has to spend more then 20 million euros to keep him permanently in the club!
Overall if its true that Milan are thinking of selling one young and really good prospect so finance they can get some money to the transfer of any of the players above mentioned i give up on the Milan management!

  3. Pobega’s loan needs to be terminated, he needs to be brought home.

Yoko’s and Pellegri’s loans needs to be terminated, they are not even on Serie B level.

Kessie needs to be sold in January for any amount anyone is willing to offer, Castillejo and Conti too.

We need a trequartista and we need striker ASAP.

  4. The management made one awful decision after another in the summer market, and it has to be said. Bakayoko, Pellegri, Florenzi and Ballo-Toure altogether don’t make a player of a team that wants to fight for the scudetto, and looking at what their most recent season before signing them was like, it was obvious it was going to be like that and the fact most of them are on loan is no excuse because you could have much better loanees than what we got, players that at least would bring up something to the team. They decide to loan Pobega out after a very positive season in Serie A and knowing damn well Kessie and Bennacer would be away for a time due to AFCON, and all that why? Because we got Bakayoko?? Not happy with that, pretty much the only player we got besides Mike who was not a mind boggling loan with high chances of flopping, and the only thing resembling a Brahim Diaz substitute, they loan it to Bordeaux. They also decide to not get a replacement of Chalanoglu, and leave the responsibility of arguably the most important position in Pioli’s system to Brahim Diaz, based on what?? The last 5 games of the last season?? And to top it off, they didn’t at least sign a substitute for him; like, what exactly did they think was going to happen if Diaz got injured throughout the season?? Did they think playing Krunic there would suffice, honestly?? Theo, Brahim, Saelemaekers, are playing very poorly and they don’t even have the pressure that they can lose their spot to another player because either there’s no substitute in their position or the one we have is horrible, they have their spot secured no matter how badly they play. Now, for the new chapter, they want to sell a player that comes from home, who’s playing very well and one that looking at Kessie and Bennacer we desperately need, to get a patch while Kjaer is out?? What are they even doing at this point.

  5. It makes NO sense to sell him.
However, one must admit that his loan in Torino was a successful move for his development.
The next step is simply to come back.

  6. I’ve just read that Sarri got into fight with Milinković Savić and he will probably be sold in January. Get rid of Bakayoko, Kessie, Castillejo, Pellegri, and Conti to bring him in. That is the one player that is so much better than Kessie, even when Kessie was in top form and that would get our midfield to be crazy good, with Tonali and Savić.

    1. And we have money, I’d rather bring a world class player like him and move Kessie for 10-20M than bring another defender for 30M that will warm the bench behind Romagnoli and Tomori.

  7. What do Maldini, massara, and pioli smoke in milan that make people so insane…if thus is true this would be disgusting…already we can’t buy good players..now we want to sell the talent.and thing that make worsen is the intention to buy loane players.who are worse and old …what the f… is going on at club

  8. Come on milan go ahead sell pobega sell tomori if you like sell all important players and leave krunic romagnoli bakayoko castilejo to challenge for Scudetto

  9. Disgusting… we need Pobega more than Bremer. Renew Romagnoli, get Acerbi for 5m as depth. Gabbia and Kalulu can sub. Kjaer will be back after the season.

Pobega wants it so bad and has done nothing but good things.. this is what you reward Milan!! Don’t sell our own. Just look if we would have sold Calabria like we tried to this summer.. we’d be letting go of the best RB in serie a. Plus Pobega coming home will give us the option to run a different formation for once. Come on Maldini and Massara.. don’t blow this

    1. Imagine playing a 3 man mid with options like: Tonali, Bennacer, Pobega, Kamara (free), Adli (already ours), Bakayoko (if he comes good). And spending no additional money to have that… just makes too much sense for this management.
