While Javi Guerra shines at the U21 European Championships with Spain, AC Milan are preparing an attempt to sign him.
Calciomercato.com describe him as ‘elegant, very technical and with that typical dynamism of the box-to-box midfielders that modern coaches like so much’. Despite having just turned 22 in May, he is already a leader of Valencia under Carlos Corberàn.
In 2019 he left Villarreal and joined the Valencia youth team and is now ready for a new stage in his professional career. Milan want him: Geoffrey Moncada likes him, having already sounded him out 12 months ago, and also Massimiliano Allegri who sees in him a trajectory similar to Adrien Rabiot.
Contacts and costs
In recent days, Guerra’s Italian intermediary has had direct, very positive contact with Igli Tare. The Milan sporting director considers him to be a top player who has big potential to grow. The Valencia midfielder is a player for whom the Rossoneri intend to plan a move.

However, it remains to be seen what the timing will be because Javi has many requests on the market in addition to a contract renewal proposal from Valencia. In order of priority, Granit Xhaka is before Guerra, too.
The Swiss midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen is a favourite of Tare and has also received positive feedback from Allegri. Granit is a Milan player, in fact, he is exactly what the Diavolo need at this moment.
While waiting to understand the next moves, Milan learned that Valencia want €25m for Guerra and have had initial approaches from Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid, but nothing more.
Or we can get u21 from the Italian national team instead…..
Can you plz name any?
Name one the Italy U21 you want Milan to sign instead of him. Some of you are a
obsessed about Italian players that are not even good, just because they’re Italians.
That’s the problem with italy.
There’s little to no great players anymore.
So even mid ass players are being overly glorified.
These people are still living in the past where italy produced players like maldini, pirlo, totti, del piero, etc.
Please, say no more buddy.
But the reason those players came about is they had to start somewhere and get given a chance. If Italian teams would do this then you may see the next generation start to grow. England have the same issue. How many u21 players that win cups end up in the senior team?
And to name one Casadei would be a great fit for Milan. Big and strong in the middle and can dribble and carries the ball forward.
If you bring in Xhaka flanked by Fofana, you could play liberali in the middle and let him actually develop and improve.
Oh but wait…. Allegri doesn’t develop younger players… So Guerra is supposed to do what exactly?
We can say that Allegri is an average coach, who plays boring football, but to say that he doesn’t give young players a chance is not true. Rodney Strasser, Merkel, El Sharawy and Cristante in Milan, Pogba and Coman in Juventus.
This player resembles Tonali.
Just get pogba for free
Ardon Jashari is wayy better than than him….
Pease Igli get Ardon’s signature…
I don’t believe that we could afford for Guerra and he will choose the AC Milan. that could be amazing transfer, much better then Xhaka. eventually Igor Zubeldia is fantastic optin. let’s see.
.
it’s also nice to hear that Milan interested Marc Pubill. great news, but very far to finalization, unfortunately.
Wait… How many times we signed players from La Liga and how many of them lived up to expectations?
Mirjalol@ that is the past – 90-ties of last century. currently, Spanish could cope any league and any time. no stress. Serie A gave already plenty of examples.
