Despite this, it seems the Rossoneri are not satisfied with things, at least defensively. Reports this morning suggested that a move could be made in January for a new defender, and another report this evening states the same, albeit with a different target listed.
As MilanLive reports, the Diavolo will make another attempt for Joe Gomez in January, after a move was made difficult on deadline day. In the final hours of the mercato, talks slowed due to Liverpool’s issues getting in a defender of their own.
However, the plan is to prepare an assault for January over the next few months. Gomez remains a ‘serious target’, so Milan will attempt to make themselves ready for their next attempt.

Grab him at all costs. 4 million salary should be convincing enough.
We have all the time to search and consider better options, not going for all assault on someone Liverpool will be glad to offload.
