Milan president Scaroni confirms Giampaolo could be sacked: “We are reflecting”

AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has confirmed that Marco Giampaolo’s position as head coach is ‘being considered’.

On Sunday, we revealed that Giampaolo’s future was in serious jeopardy despite Saturday’s win over Genoa, with the club considering his position.

The Rossoneri managed to snap a three-game losing streak at the Marassi but failed to convince in doing so, needing a last minute penalty save from Pepe Reina to preserve the three points.

A number of reliable sources have confirmed that club leaders are moving more towards sacking the former Sampdoria boss, whose position has ‘never been more at risk’.

Now, Milan’s president Paolo Scaroni has confirmed that Giampaolo’s position is under threat.

“We are reflecting,” he told La Stampa (via MilanNews.it).

Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Sunday that former Inter boss Luciano Spalletti is the number one choice for Milan to replace him, but Stefano Pioli is an alternative.
