AC Milan’s Primavera side got their 2023-24 UEFA Youth League campaign off to the best possible start with a commanding 4-0 win against Newcastle United.
Most of the damage was done in the first half and the scoring was opened by one of last season’s stars Chaka Traore, who arrived at the back post to tuck home a lovely feed from Scotti on the right wing and make it 1-0 after 15 minutes.

Not long after it was 2-0, and this time it came from the penalty spot. Some smart work from Francesco Camarda won the spot kick and he finished confidently from 12 yards, breaking an Italian record in the process.

Camarda got his second of the afternoon in the 26th minute just a few minutes after his first, getting put through on goal by Scotti and beating Harrison with a composed finish.

The fourth goal came in the second half and was also via a penalty won by Camarda for a shove in the back, though this time the ball was handed to Kevin Zeroli who made no mistake.

The result establishes Milan as the early group leaders while waiting for Dortmund-PSG, and also continues a 100% start to the season including three league wins out of three.
Let’s hope the first team will get three points too
My God, let the Milan Ac I love with all my heart lose miserably to Newcastle so that Pioli can be sacked and Bonera can take over until the next mercato.
Scotti was incredible. His pace and final ball were fantastic. Camarda’s finishing is ridiculous. Seeing Italian boys play well gives us hope for the future. Once the racist Pioli is sacked, we should see more Italians in the starting XI.
