AC Milan’s Primavera side ensured a winning start to the weekend as they hammered Empoli 4-1 at the PUMA House of Football on Saturday lunchtime.
There was some pressure on Federico Guidi’s side despite the fact that they started the season with two convincing wins, because the result before the break was far from ideal. Milan went 1-0 up against Genoa but would end up losing 3-1, surrendering top spot in the process.
It was a much more straightforward afternoon back in home confines as Milan found themselves 3-0 up at half-time against Empoli, with Filippo Scotti scoring the opener, then Max Ibrahimovic and Dariusz Stalmach adding to the lead to mean the game was basically over after 45 minutes.
The visitors would get a goal back early in the second half, but Scotti got his second goal of the game to once again put the contest to bed and also register a brace in the process, in what was a very impressive performance from him and the entire attacking department.
The result moves the Rossoneri onto nine points from four games while waiting for Roma and Fiorentina (both on nine from three) plus Lazio and Juventus (on seven and six points respectively) to play their games this weekend.
