AC Milan could yet end up signing a winger before the end of the summer transfer window, and they have a target in mind.

With Noah Okafor’s move to Leeds United expected to become official today, there has been widespread agreement among sources that Milan will not go back into the market for a replacement for the Swiss.

However, there still remain doubts about the future of Samuel Chukwueze in the final days of the window. If he were to leave, then it is expected that the Rossoneri management would have to act.

A target for the wing

According to the latest from Sky, Milan are eyeing Vasco da Gama’s Rayan, who has identified as an interesting name for the future. There are no negotiations underway at the moment, but the 19-year-old could become a targeted investment if Chukwueze were to be sold.

Rayan plays predominantly on the right side of the attack, and after coming through the youth ranks at Vasco da Game, he already has 76 appearances to his name with the first team. Considering his age, the numbers are impressive: 12 goals and two assists.

Transfermarkt have his valuation as €14m, but state that he has a contract which runs out next year, so the margins could be there to tempt the teenage talent.

  1. This seems like a good move.
Chucky had his chance is way too one footed to be a top level player.
We have been a long time without a South American/Brazilian talent.
An exciting and energetic young talent like this guy would be a great addition

  2. Sounds like an interesting and affordable prospect. But if anyone expects this guy to start they’re fooling themselves.

    1. I don’t think a player who would come in as a replacement for Chukwueze, not a starter himself, would be expected by anyone to start.

    1. And where would he play? How many new players have we signed and how many players did we retain that expect to be starters, or that will be happy to go straight to the bench? People want this player and that player, who will all come to sit on the bench of a club that doesn’t even have European football. Should Pulisic sit? Maybe maybe “promising young Italian” Ricci will volunteer to stall his career? Perhaps 35M transfer saga Jashari will be a backup? Crazy.

      1. it’s rotation Bro.. Chuck isn’t good enough, his value is shinking
Zeghrova is about quality & opportunity, he’s ready player, can play both wings (we dont’ve rotation for Leao & Puli) & cut price cz expiring contract

  3. I cannot wait for the transfer window to close, so we can get some peace. So much pointless speculation. It drives me insane. And the emphasis is always on the attack, when you should be looking at Defenders. Defense wins championships, doesn’t matter what sport you’re talking about.

  4. if only 10m max, Brazilian youngsters nowdays need bit time to adapt (see Chelsea), then loan him to serie A promotion clubs or Futuro (that’s why we’ve it) to adapt the league

  5. Just promote an academy player instead of buying.

Chuck was mainly a rotational player, an academy player can fulfill this role as well

  6. I applaud you seeing what most milanisti are ignoring. No European football means less games n then u just buy n n stagnate careers n then playing some out o_ position n then the time for some adaptation n chemistry building. Not to mention those on loan that perform n might want to push for a starting berth . That’s why the likes of Enrique, Guardiola Flick want thinner squads . It will help in the unearthing of youth talent in terms of emergency situation. # Tottenham
