AC Milan appear to have reactivated their pursuit of Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, according to Matteo Moretto.
Milan are looking for at least one more midfielder to complete the department after the arrivals of Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci. It became clear that Ardon Jashari was and is the main target, but there has been no breakthrough on that front.

Thus, the management must also evaluate other options, especially given that time is of the essence. The squad leave for their tour of Asia and Australia tomorrow and there are still gaps in the squad to be filled.
Milan resume Guerra pursuit
Now, Matteo Moretto has given an update on his X account and he claims that the Rossoneri have turned back to Guerra, a Spain U21 international that they were heavily linked with earlier in the summer.
He states: “Milan reactivates the Javi Guerra track. In recent hours, new contacts have been made for the Spanish midfielder, who is still awaiting a contract renewal proposal from Valencia.
“Despite a meeting held on Thursday, July 7, between Valencia and Guerra’s entourage to discuss a possible future together, the Spanish club has not yet formalised an offer for an extension (and adjustment) for the player.
“Milan is now negotiating to reach an agreement on contractual terms; no deal has yet been reached between Milan and Valencia.”

We all thought that Tare & Allegri would lead a decisive transfer campaign in the beginning as those were the early indications , however the usual low-balling snail- pace purchasing attempts have reigned supreme once again.
It started with Tonali ( who had to give up money to push the transfer) and continues till this day with the Jashari saga. Financial prudence is vital but this makes the club look awful . Orders to close deals are not being approved from the top, to the frustration of us many fans . What happened with Fofana is happening all over again , to the disbelief of many, if the club even manage to buy Jashari at all.
Everything is leaked to the media further complicating and straining the negotiations. It surely can be done in a better way but it is the club structure implemented by Redbird that is the main reason for these soap opera dragging negotiations.
They want to use the legacy and history of our club to attract players, then they should realise that other clubs also see that legacy and history and they see it as an opportunity to fully realise their assets, so it works both ways.
Ardon Jashiri should have been wrapped up weeks ago, Musah should have left weeks ago, starting full backs should be having their medical this week, striker should have been signed, all given a proper pre-season instead of playing catch up for the next few months for the sake of a few million…..
The Milan DNA has eroded away and these losers now totally erasing it…such a shame
Sorry to be disappointed. But we are not playing football manager. This is real life with its many intricacies and behind the scene, many unknown variables dictating Milan Market.
Among these variables you can include Milan’s management complete and utter incompetence.
We’ve seen these same patterns for years now, while other more successfull teams don’t seem to have issues to bring a player quickly (at least not always), while with us, we systematically have to have a saga.
@Dez we all know this is not football manager . The real issue is that Redbird want to spend the least amount of money possible , dictating the price of players who are owned by other clubs without the financial clout to back it up with top wages. They are basically using the clubs illustrious History as the main selling point in attracting players ,that’s all they have to offer . These days even Fenerbahce can outbid us in wages & commissions, so it doesn’t work with all players and guarantee’s a long drawn out saga as usual.
@ Dez strangely when it came to selling Reijnders, Redbird where not as pushy and settled for a transfer that many thought was at least 7 million short of his valuation considering Man city almost always over pay. Instead they settled for many silly bonus clauses that made him look like a bargain in Manchester.
I think the obvious problem is the sheer deadwood we have in the squad and can’t get rid of them. People like to bash maldini for Origi but there is a lot more deadwood accumulated over the past 2 summer transfer windows.
I just thought if we managed to sell all the deadwood we’ll have like maybe 70-90 million extra and I just thought that we could buy Jashari, Estupinan/brown, Some striker and then maybe Guerra and we loan out Warren Bondo so he can get playing time and grow
Now this is gambling, either Guerra or Jashari will be suitable with our system. Because we don’t know what would happen in the next season. Who will be the player to blame if we lost, like usual there will be a flopping player. We’ve seen it in the previous season right.
I don’t even see anything special about our transfers so far it’s really embarrassing
We need to offload players. Too many are not in Allegri’s plan.
Guerra isn’t interested in the Milan project, and frankly, rightly so.
