Sky: ‘This evening’ – Milan ready to present offer to Manchester City for Walker

Kyle Walker has been linked with a move to AC Milan over the past week, and things have moved quite quickly seemingly, with the Rossoneri ready to make an offer.

The right-back situation at Milan is definitely interesting, and many fans would call it frustrating. In the summer Emerson Royal was chosen as the man to replace, or better Davide Calabria. However, this has not been the case.

Calabria has spent time regularly sidelined, forcing Emerson to be the only right-back essentially. Whilst this could have established him, it has shown his consistent weaknesses, and now, a move away could be on the cards.

Looking back to the captain, Calabria has also not done enough to earn an extension, so he is heading towards an exit at the end of the season.

In other words, the Rossoneri have spent money to better the position, yet are in a more worrying situation.

For this reason, the Diavolo have looked to the mercato for options and an opportunity in Kyle Walker has arisen. The Englishman wants to leave Manchester City and he is open to a move.

Whilst a permanent deal was attempted, it was reliant on City releasing the 34-year-old which is not happening, so Milan will send a loan offer tonight, according to Sky.

The Rossoneri are ready to make an offer – a six-month loan with an option to buy – and it could be sent as early as this evening, as per the report.

  1. He has may be one year left of top level football in him. Age does not care, age does not spare nobody. Let us hope he will stay healthy and fit for matches throughout the time he is here.

    1. I mean realistically he is more fit than Olivier Giroud ever was in his career. So knowing how much he has in him is not really possible. When did Ibrahimovic end, Giroud? Costacurta, Maldini etc. I mean Walker can probably do 2 more years in Italy on highest level, and if compared to Emerson that is 100%.

  2. this deal is going to fall through. milan are going to end the January transfer with 0 new players and 0 sold. Just wait and see

  3. Make it happen and then immediately sell Royal even on 2 years loan with obligation to buy for 7m€…
After Walker we need to buy striker immediately if we want to fight for CL , time is running and we are already 8 points from 4th place…

    1. 2 year loans with obligations to buy isn’t allowed any longer as it was deemed used as a loophole to circumvent the ffp.

  4. Calabria hasn’t done enough? Even if he scored 10 goals and made 20 goal-line interceptions Moncada would still ignore him and not give the extension.

  5. What, they need 2 weeks to come up with a loan offer who wants to join the club and was already left out of Man City squad. How are they this special?
