MN: ‘Two years are enough’ – why Milan are ready to part ways with Chukwueze

When Samuel Chukwueze arrived in the summer of 2023, there were hopes that he could be a big player for AC Milan, but this has not been the case.

In another world, Chukwueze is probably the long-term starting right winger for Milan, which was expected when he joined the club. However, he did not shine upon arrival, whereas Christian Pulisic did and continues to.

Unfortunately for him, on the occasional opportunity he got, he failed to succeed and looked like a really poor purchase.

So, Milan News writes that ‘two years are enough’ and a decision to part ways will surely be made this summer. Chukwueze himself hopes for a bigger role, whilst the Rossoneri are not happy with their purchase, seeing him as a ‘bitter disappointment’.

In La Liga, he was afforded more luxury of space, but in Serie A, he does not have these same abilities, looking very one dimensional, both in terms of his feet and ideas.

He arrived for €20 million + bonuses, whilst also taking a wage of €4m per season, a figure which has been too much for the player who is seen. So, the Diavolo will hope for at least €13m in the summer mercato, as this is the amount of the residual cost on the balance sheet.

  1. Who to sell and who to keep?

Definitely less players to be sold – stronger should be squad. Because they know game, club, don’t need adaptation.

Players like Ruben Loftus, Tomori, Chukwueze for which I voted to be first sold in summer, are still in their below peak years, or like Ruben in peak 29.

Selling them would ment keeping Maignan, Theo and all stars, plus bringing 2 or 3 big players (stars in terms of showing it in games).

Milan currently needs 20 million from next Europa league, 14 mil from Kalulu capital gain, I hope Bennacer 10 mill, decrease cost on Bennacer for 8 million, and permanent sale of Morata. Club will save money on Felix, Sottil, probable Walker, too old dude.
So 44 million is from current possible sales plus Europe, and Milan needs around 35 more to reach those revenues.
8 million is on cost side for Bennacer sale.

And club stays with Saelemaekers, Adli, Pobega, Colombo, Okafor, Pellegrino etc… These dudes, specially Saelemaekers I wouldn’t sell below highest possible price. In terms of keeping Saelemaekers I would sell Chukwueze or send him on loan (keeping a lot on cost side 9m). And others can be loaned.

So there is still big space for Milan but winning Bologna is crucial.

  2. season 2025 he got 4/5 stars in my FM20.

    meanwhile CDK scored 2 yesterday.

our not good enough CDK, Bellanova, Maldini, Brescianini, Darmian, Acerbi enjoying 2nd & 3rd of Serie A, UCL & National team
