AC Milan have initiated contacts with Real Madrid regarding the signing of Arda Güler, we have learned, hoping to secure an initial loan deal.
According to what our editorial team at SempreMilan.it have discovered in the last few hours, there have been new contacts between Milan and Real Madrid for Guler. The forward has expressed the desire to play more, which Carlo Ancelotti is not able to guarantee at this time.
The Turkey international was decisive in the two matches played in the Copa del Rey by Los Blancos, providing two assists to Endrick, but he has collected just over 600 minutes this season in LaLiga, about the same as Noah Okafor at Milan.
However, Real Madrid’s management strongly believes in the former Fenerbahce starlet’s potential and do not intend to run the risk of letting him go permanently, and that’s where Milan come into the picture.
A call to the capital
Milan and Real Madrid enjoy a special relationship dictated by mutual respect between the management, as well as the presence of Ancelotti. In the last few hours the two clubs have reportedly returned to the subject of Guler to replicate a similar operation from the recent past: that for Brahim Diaz.
The negotiation between Milan and Real would in fact be similar: a loan for a season and a half (expires June 2026) with an option to buy in favour of the Rossoneri and a slightly higher buy-back clause for Real which will be almost like a prize for the player’s development.
The recent talks between Milan and Real seem to have been positive, but the most complex part seems to be convincing the player to move. As a reminder, he chose the Madrid club over Milan
Despite his desire to play more consistently, Guler and his family would prefer a transfer to the Premier League or at least to a club that will be guaranteed to play in the Champions League next season.
Walker on the way
Milan should today agree a deal to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City on loan with an option to buy. The English defender will earn €2m net in this half season and, if he is permanent signed, another €4m per year until 2027.
It is a move that seems to be less of a tactical motivation, considering that Milan already have six full-backs in the squad as well as three right-backs. However, the increasingly likely change of formation by Conceicao, who will switch to 4-4-2, could explain the reason for the purchase of the English player.
It is not yet known what Walker’s role will be at Milan and above all how the hierarchies in the full-backs will change. It is also possible that he will be used mostly as a centre-back, notwithstanding any outgoings on that front.
Of course, there is the character element too. Amid reports that Conceicao does not believe the group have much resilience, adding an experienced winner who has been coached by Pep Guardiola for years should strengthen the dressing room.
Can I say I miss the Elliott austerity era now? We were so much happier when we were poor 😅
Now that we got some money we don’t know what to do with it 😔
Moh Money Moh Problems
Haha 😂 true
bring it on Guler.
Bring him in.
He should have signed for Milan in the first place.
What’s the point? Just developing him for Real at the expence of our players. I would rather play Liberali.
Agreed
Again with these developing nonsense.
You get him for free, you will lose him for free or even have a chance to buy him, or even make a small profit.
In the meantime he’d be playing for Milan and helps you achieve your objectives.
What did Milan lose in the Brahim loan arrangement? Nothing. Milan only gained from it.
Exactly! What ever / who ever it takes to reach the top-4!! Who cares about next season’s players as we have bigger issues to solve. Like getting into the UCL. First things first. And the first thing is to bench Emerson. 🙂
We lost having a good AM in the long run. If we actually developed Maldini instead of him we would have had a great AM right now. When will you understand that Milan is a top club and not some feeder club ? Diaz was terrible for two seasons and a liability, then when we finally developed him Real took him back. Imagine if we did something simmilar with Leao and Theo too. The club would be nowhere. This are not the type of deals that take you to the top. This is typical mid table, lower tier management.
Diaz was never meant to be the starter. We didn’t have money for a back up…hence he was loaned at a low fee. Hakan was meant to be the starter and Diaz the backup. Unfortunately our wage cap limitations made it such that players went elsewhere and previous backups ended up being starters.
I don’t know how they can’t understand this. It’s a big problem in the future.
It’s only short term for Milan and doesn’t help the club in the long run.
Never ever develop players for another club. Especially a top club like real who can be opponents in the future. Such deals come back to bite in the posterior.
How anyone cannot see this is beyond me.
“Never ever develop players for another club”
So… You’d choose no UCL next season just so we wouldn’t develop Güler for Real? You do realize that without UCL, Milan will lose Theo, Leao and MM16? Probably Reijnders too. Just because “you don’t want to develop players for other clubs”? Isn’t what we’d be doing with the four players above too? Developing them for the clubs that will buy them? Just because our material without help from others won’t cut it this year.
How are you comparing Liberali to Guler?! Did you miss the Euros? Guler is a huge upgrade on Brahim Diaz. If he’s successful for Milan then Real Madrid send more players our more. We lose nothing.
Guler is 20years old. Liberali is 17. Liberali was one of the best if not the best player in Euro u17. He has just as much potential. By developing players for other clubs you lose being a top club.
Agreed
Sad we are now seen internally as a developmental club for other bigger clubs
Walker is a right back, he’s been signed to play right-back. He would be wasted at CB.
I think Conceicao see how bad Royal is . Also Zlatan, this is the reason why they want to buy him… and if they sell Royal to Galatasaray, we would be happy..
Do not become ‘Madrid Futuro’
Can sell RLC, Bennacer, Okafor, Royal and any other fringe player.
Deploy Zeroli, Liberali and Vos
Purchase a ‘Kessie-type’ midfielder (Tonali-type if possible) and reliable striker.
If signing him will help us qualify for the CL for the two seasons, that would mean a guaranteed base earning of about 20m each year.
That for is a pure gain, he can go to his club if he so wishes.
He is a great talent and I’d happily have him on the team if it means we are going to be a better team. He will immediately help us because Reindeer is a better CM than CAM in my opinion but Leao Guler Pulisic would be very deadly in the attacking phase.
Just buy Rayan Cherki…
The Mastermind working on a devious plot to land him. LOL! 😀 😀 😀 😀
Reading these comments, I forgot about Ballo Toure. He’s still an improvement over Emerson.
Wasting time and effort on Guller… Ibra shows lack of experience again and again.
What’s wrong with our own youth players…….. Our own know what it means to wear the red and black.
