CorSport: Pioli considers fielding a mobile and unpredictable attack against Inter

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is beginning to think of his team selection ahead of the derby next weekend, with some decisions to make in particular regarding the attack.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Pioli is already thinking about the line-up to use against Inter in what is a crucial game for the Rossoneri’s Scudetto hopes, with particular attention being paid to the forwards.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will try to recover from tendon inflammation, but in the last few days he has only carried out therapy and has trained alone. If the Swede does not recover in time for the game, Pioli could opt for the obvious choice of picking Olivier Giroud instead.

However, there could also be a third solution: Ante Rebic could be deployed in the role of striker in order to add a bit more fluidity to the attacking department. With the Croatian on the pitch supported by Leao, Diaz and Saelemaekers, Milan’s attack would once again be mobile and unpredictable.
