Messaggero: Milan could use Rebic to lower €40m demands for attacking target

AC Milan are continuing with their attempts to sign Nicolo Zaniolo and they may have a player that could be used as a counterpart, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Il Messaggero (via SempreMilan.it), the negotiation to bring Zaniolo to Milan could be unlocked thanks to the possible inclusion of Ante Rebic as a counterpart, because he is a profile that Jose Mourinho likes.

Zaniolo is valued by the Giallorossi at no less than €40m, a figure that Milan are willing to reach but only with the inclusion of some players going the other way. An offer of €25m plus Alexis Saelemaekers did not convince Roma, but Rebic could change their mind.

The Croatian is also attracting the interest of Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, and his versatility – given his ability to play as a right winger and a left winger, as well as a false nine – is what appeals to Mourinho. Now, it is up to the managements to continue negotiating.
