Daily Mail: Milan reflect as Paratici asks for specific clause in talks over Spurs defender

By Oliver Fisher -

Japhet Tanganga is Milan’s main target to reinforce the defensive department, but Tottenham have forced reflection after making a request.

According to a report from the Daily Mail (via SempreMilan.it), the Rossoneri have opened talks with Tottenham over a loan deal for the English defender as they look to replace Alessio Romagnoli who left on a free transfer for Lazio.

The paper claims that Milan are trying to find an agreement with Spurs for the loan with an option to buy, but their sporting director Fabio Paratici – formerly of Juventus – is trying to obtain a buy-back clause which could be activated if Milan decide to complete the permanent signing of the 23-year-old next summer.

Just like with the pursuits of Charles De Ketelaere and Renato Sanches, it seems as though Milan will find it difficult to reach a full agreement with the London club and some negotiating must be done.
