Cristhian Mosquera of Valencia is a defender in demand, and AC Milan have been linked with a move for him ahead of next summer.
Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto reports that in recent weeks there has been a club that has shown interest in Mosquera and that club is Milan. The Rossoneri have been testing the waters with a view to a possible move in June.
The talks that Mosquera is having with the LaLiga club over a renewal have stalled for the moment because they cannot agree a figure for the release clause. The player’s entourage would like a clause of around €25m so that, if an interesting offer arrives, the player has the power to decide.
Valencia usually put a clause of €100m in contracts so that they always have the power to negotiate (as seen with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Yunus Musah). Although they understand the agent’s request, the Valencia directors are unlikely to accept a clause below €35m.
They are dragging out the negotiations for the moment because right now it is cheaper to keep the player on the deal he is on and they do not want to lose any power, even if he has a year left on his deal.
The Spanish club would certainly listen to Milan if they offered €25m and fact that they do not want a €25m clause does not mean that he will not be sold for that amount, but rather that they want a higher clause to have decision-making leverage.
If Milan were to go out and sign the 20-year-old centre-back it would raise questions about the futures of certain players given that Matteo Gabbia (soon expected to renew), Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Strahinja Pavlovic are currently there as options.
Why would you target a defender that is no better than thiaw or gabbia?
If it’s not an upgrade forget about it.
Right now we need a cb that gas exp at the highest lvl and can instantly raise the lvl. That is exp playing for a big club and in uefa games. Someone like Tah maybe.
Not another, maybe he makes it, talent.
Gabbia is too Italian and too European he needs to go. He doesn’t fit in the american diversity ideology.
They would if they could..unfortunately for them when you lack homegrown players registration of foreign players suffers
Buongiorno, Bremer, Calafiori etc etc we’ve passed up plenty of opportunities to sign decent defenders and artfully dodge them every time…
What’s with Milan and targeting terrible players and managers this is the worst management Milan have ever had
Either go for high quality players or don’t bother. I don’t care if we end up signing one player per transfer window, but that’s much better than piling up mediocre players who end up becoming a liability because there is no way they can be used in a way that improves the team.
This fiasco of “algorithm” and “ceiling for spending” has proven its limits. Out of nearly 20 players purchased and 200M€ spent, less than 5 players can be considered good and only one actually managed to instantaneously raise the level of the team (or at least the level of this position of the field). All the others were average at best.
Also we don’t need another “talent”, we already have our hands full with Futuro players, young “talents” with “potential” like Musah, Pavlovic, Thiaw who take longer to blossom than a talipot palm and finally immature and unreliable leaders like Leao and Theo.
Absolutely agreed bro…
A couple years ago this was what was needed. We were at a point where a few quality additions would have been perfect. Instead we got revamped and downgraded
Friendly reminder Valencia are DEAD LAST in la liga… this ownership is hopeless
if u want money & quality then buy 1 of..
Jay Idzes, Venezia captain, best player against us, 24yo, league experienced w/ good rapport in smaller club (cheap) or..
Mees Hilgers, best young CB in dutch league, 23yo, price tag less than 15m,
& both is Indonesian, we r crazy about football 2nd biggest after Brazil, really strategic from marketing/ socmed/ marchandise point of view
Is he an RB? No? Then pass. End of story.
They got their data analysis software from Temu.
🤣🤣🤣
Musquera is young and foreign, but his price tag is expensive, more than 20 million. It is no from management.
With 35 million we get 2 pair defender emerson and pav. With 35 million napoli just got 1 player boungiorno. Napoli management should learn from our management, stupid napoli management, you just get one player with that kind money, milan management got 2.
