Strahinja Pavlovic Milan

GdS: Milan rejected ‘break even’ deal to allow Pavlovic to leave after six months

Strahinja Pavlovic is reportedly a target for Fenerbahce, and the Turkish club made two offers to AC Milan yesterday, according to a report.

Pavlovic’s time at Milan has been very up and down. At the start of the season, he looked the best central defender at the club, since then, things have only gone downhill. The Serbian’s position has slipped, and there are no signs of him recovering shortly.

It is, admittedly, expected though, considering the talent that the Rossoneri have at centre-back when everyone is at their best. Considering how Sergio Conceicao has already offered Fikayo Tomori a lifeline, Pavlovic will be hoping for the same.

In fact, when asked about the interest from Turkey, the Serbian stated how he did not want to leave the club, and was staying with the Rossoneri, and this is, expectedly, why the club turned down two offers from Fenerbahce.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the Turkish outfit made two attempts, one on loan with an option to buy, and the other a ‘break-even’ purchase for the same amount that the Diavolo spent in the summer – €18 million.

Both offers received the same reply, no. The Rossoneri do not want to lose the player, especially with Malick Thiaw now sidelined.

  1. What’s happening to the Argentine centre back who was recruited by our sh!t management.
Sell him first if you want money than selling 1 of 3fit cb players

    1. Finally Cardinale realised what will happen if many of moneyball transfers become flop.
He will loose UCL spot eventually losing his money.
It’s OK to buy some youngsters but without experienced one, he can’t get results and ucl money.

  2. He would be stupid to leave after Conceicao said everyone will get a chance. But I still think he will never be a Milan level player.

  3. He has the potential to be a monster of a CB, but he needs proper coaching to get him there. If he actually gets that he’d be the perfect partner next to Gabbia. He has the height, the pace, the ability in the tackle. He just needs coaching in awareness and decision making with the ball. Absolutely needs to be kept around

    1. Give him a year. If by next summer he hasn’t learned to defend in Italy, he’ll never learn. But if he does… He’ll be one of the strongest CBs for the next years.

  4. Sitting on the the bench doesn’t mean he isn’t good enough. There are 4 of them, and only 2 can play at a time, at the center. Thiaw is injured, so, he has just Gabbia and Tomori for competition. He could be brought in as a sub for any of the 2. Thiago Silva was on Milan’s bench for long, watching the likes of Nesta start.

  5. Is this for real? I thought was just media making stuff up. I was thinking there is no way this could even possibly be 1 per cent true. We JUST got him in the summer for not small money either. Why is already being shipped out?? There’s no way this has merit

  6. Sell him… those misplaced passes and tomori’s like error aren’t gonna stop. Even Simic had better composure on the ball than Pavlovic.
