Daily Mail: Milan rekindle interest in 14-goal Reims star that Arsenal could sell

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun as he continues to impress in France with Stade Reims.

The 21 year-old is currently the top scorer in Ligue 1 having netted 14 goals for a Reims side who are in mid-table and this form has understandably attracted the interest of clubs around Europe looking for a No.9 for the future.

According to the Daily Mail, Milan have been keen on signing the England U21 international before when he was in Arsenal’s youth team and now the management have watched him bang in the goals in France.

Balogun’s future is a headache for Arsenal as he is shining with the consistent first-team football he has received in Ligue 1 but if he returns at the end of the loan he could be third choice behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

The Gunners are also aware that the next window looks set to be ‘the best chance to secure a sum that could represent good value’ for an academy product.

    1. May also not be the type of player Milan needs or be suitable for Serie A. I think we need a Vlahovic or Osimhen type player. One who can dominate the box, provide an aerial threat or bring the ball down for someone else like Leao.
