A major blow may not arrive at AC Milan anymore, with Napoli reportedly looking away from Adrien Rabiot this summer.
There have been plenty of fears about Rabiot heading into this summer, especially after Allegri was fired. Indeed, the Frenchman has been his long-standing Mr. Reliable, so it seemed Napoli would make a chase for him.

However, it seems that may not be the case this summer, much to Milan’s delight.
Rabiot off the table for now
According to Sky Sport, via MilanPress, Aurelio De Laurentiis and Giovanni Manna are considering whether a luxury midfielder is affordable, considering their desire for a top-tier central defender – hence the links to Mario Gila.
It would make sense for the interest to be revived when Allegri arrives, but right now, it would not seem like there will be a drive to do so. Especially not whilst there are other things to think of.
From a Rossoneri perspective, too, Rabiot is perfectly happy to stay at the club. Only an ‘exceptional offer’ would make him consider an exit and right now, none are on the table and he will not push for one to arrive.
In other words, Ruben Amorim can happily look at the Frenchman as an option for next season as it stands.

He also has a contract lasting until 2028 with a club option for a further year.
I will say that we should keep him as he is an important first team player so if we actually were to listen to any offers I’d expect offers of between 40-50 mil before I would even consider anything at all.

B Silva was a free agent. Straight forward. Cucurella, sure. Some deals can be done here and there, but as a general rule, most of the deals don’t get addressed until after the WC.
