Di Marzio: Milan already have two investments planned for the summer – the targets

The January mercato may have just ended but AC Milan have big plans for the summer transfer window and they already have two signings lined up, a journalist has claimed.

Speaking on Sky Sport (via MilanNews), Gianluca Di Marzio commented on the Milan transfer market and confirmed that the management wanted to sign both centre-back Sven Botman and midfielder Renato Sanches before the window closed earlier today.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara tried to sign Botman for the whole January window while Renato Sanches was a target for the last few days. After failing to get either of them – the primary targets for each position – the Rossoneri preferred to give up rather than sign players with no absolute conviction.

Milan postponed the investments until the summer market, during which the 22-year-old Dutchman and the 24-year-old Portuguese international will once again be concrete targets.
