Mediaset: Milan have cooled pursuit of Renato Sanches due to two doubts

By Oliver Fisher -

The Renato Sanches saga feels like it has been going on for months now, and it may end with AC Milan snubbing the chance to sign him, a report claims.

As reported by SportMediaset (via SempreMilan.it), the ideas of the Milan management seem to have changed in the last few days and Sanches does not appear to be the outright number one target. In fact, there are evaluations are underway relating to his salary demands of €5.5m net per season and whether he can guarantee a return on investment from a physical point of view.

Over the course of his career, Renato Sanches has often had substantial physical ailments. This year he missed the start of the season due to a meniscus injury, while at the moment he has been out since March 12 due to a muscle problem and a return date is not yet known.

He has 25 appearances, 1 goal and 5 assists so far this season and while Sanches seems to have given priority to the Rossoneri as a summer destination, the road to his arrival at Milanello is no longer as clear as it previously seemed.

  1. If this rumour true that he is asking 5,5m euro salary then there is no way AC Milan recruit him . The best AC Milan offer salary are 3-4m euro nett

  2. 5.5 is alot for Sanchez and that’s the truth that he is always injured, we can still go back in the market and get an upcoming player with less salary than that..

  3. Never saw the point of singing him. Kessie and Baka leave and Pobega Adli come. Tonali, Benacer, Krunic, Pobega, Adli thats more than enough midfielders
