CM: Milan interested in Renato Sanches as comments fuel speculation – “I’m ready to go”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been dealt a boost in their pursuit of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, who dropped a very strong hint about his future.

Sanches spoke during an interview with Portuguese source A Bola and was asked about what the future holds for him, admitting that he knows of a club who are interested in signing him and that he is ‘ready’ when the right offer comes along.

“I have spoken to my agent, I know which club is interested, but for now I cannot reveal it. I know I’m ready to go. If a proposal comes along, I’ll see what’s best for me,” he said.

His quotes were relayed by the Calciomercato.com journalist Daniele Longo, who added in his tweet that Milan are big admirers of the former Benfica and Bayern Munich man.

Several sources have reported Milan’s interest in Sanches. Speaking on Carlo Pellegatti’s Instagram account, Carlo Laudisa of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) said there is a ‘pact’ over the midfielder with his agent Jorge Mendes, presumably to explore a deal before the summer.

The Portuguese international has a deal expiring with Lille in 2023, and he could be the man who comes in to succeed Franck Kessie, with Milan optimistic they can land him.

  1. Can play on the right, good offensive player, proven internationally. Star that raised too quick but is now hungry for success

Perfect for us EVEN if Kessie stays.

  2. He is better than Krunic and Bakayoko put together. It’s disturbing that Paolo and Ricky have not said anything about him….All we hear are rumors from the press.
