MN: Milan still working on Renato Sanches deal but face competition – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still very much in the running to sign Renato Sanches from Lille this summer but they face competition, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews, the Rossoneri are still pursuing a deal for Sanches and are actively working on the operation, but there is still no agreement on figures with his agent Jorge Mendes and the player over salary.

He confirms the recent reports suggesting that Juventus are trying to include themselves in the running as well as some Premier League clubs, who might well be able to offer more lucrative financial packages.

The Portuguese international went off with muscle strain at the weekend and this season he has already been injured three times. He was out for 7 days due to a problem in July, 54 after an issue he got in August and another 5 in November, which is why he has just 18 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.

  1. All the competition might be a blessing in disguise. I’m not fully convinced by this player and I think our money would be better spent on an RW and proper striker (if not Belotti for free). Botman, Berardi, Belotti, and a better backup for Theo. Pobega and Adli are coming in and will be the reinforcements for the middle midfield.
