AC Milan have had to evaluate alternative targets given that Renato Sanches may not make a move to the Rossoneri after all, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Milan’s Plan B should the idea of signing Sanches fade completely is Enzo Fernandez of River Plate. The 21-year-old midfielder is very much admired by the management but he has a €25m release clause that the Argentine club are determined to collect.
Plan C, on the other hand, has been linked several times over the past few years and it is Jordan Veretout of Roma. He would have a much lower price tag that the other two players given he is older and is almost certain to leave Roma.
The Frenchman would cost at most €10m, but it must be noted that he has a salary of €3.5m net per year which would make the overall cost of the operation higher.

Am I the only one who wants this Fernandez guy to come instead of Renato?
He’s tough, quick with the ball and has a good touch.
Will add a lot of dynamic to our midfield.
Veretout was said to want to return to France. I doubt he’d be even interested in joining Milan.
shame on you maldini and masara it’s abt gud one n you can’t sign a player just like Renato,l know you are not serious you are just Western oor time n play our intelligence,
Just sign svanberg or fofana if AC Milan cannot get enzo
MILAN ALWAYS LOOKING FOR CHEAP PLAYERS
From Plan A to B and now C…LOL. Embarrassing. Where are all the donkeys who bashed Investcorp in favor of Redbird now?
The new owners are a joke. 100m budget that gets you 3 Decent players in today’s market. American owners no thanks..
What is plan X, Y and Z? Are we bringing back Walter Birsa, Matthieu Flamini and Taribou West??
