GdS: Milan have a €25m alternative to Renato Sanches in mind plus a ‘Plan C’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have had to evaluate alternative targets given that Renato Sanches may not make a move to the Rossoneri after all, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via, Milan’s Plan B should the idea of signing Sanches fade completely is Enzo Fernandez of River Plate. The 21-year-old midfielder is very much admired by the management but he has a €25m release clause that the Argentine club are determined to collect.

Plan C, on the other hand, has been linked several times over the past few years and it is Jordan Veretout of Roma. He would have a much lower price tag that the other two players given he is older and is almost certain to leave Roma.

The Frenchman would cost at most €10m, but it must be noted that he has a salary of €3.5m net per year which would make the overall cost of the operation higher.
