Sky: Milan reopen negotiations for Tottenham defender

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have resumed talks with Tottenham Hotspur to try and agree on a deal for English defender Japhet Tanganga, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are making some concrete steps towards trying to sign Tanganga as they seek to add depth to the defence.

There have been fresh contacts with the London club to try and find a financial agreement. Milan want to sign him on loan and they want an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

As is to be expected, the Premier League side are pushing for there to be an obligation for Milan to buy the player after the loan.

It is not clear where the deal goes from here to get past that impasse but the Rossoneri certainly need to add a new defender before the end of the transfer window to replace Alessio Romagnoli.
