After his goal against Manchester United, AC Milan have made an attempt to re-open talks with Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s entourage.
Earlier in the year, it seemed pretty likely that Loftus-Cheek would have his deal with Milan extended. Massimiliano Allegri was enjoying having the Englishman around and the midfielder was on the fringes of the England squad.

However, things changed by the end of the season and it seemed that he would depart. For most of the summer, similar questions have been asked about him, with it still looking like he’d be departing.
Yet, the Englishman has been a mainstay for Ruben Amorim in pre-season. You could argue that this is due to a lack of alternative options – and you’d be right to an extent – but the Portuguese clearly likes him.
Loftus-Cheek to renew?
So, after his goal against Manchester United yesterday, it now seems that the club are looking to renew his deal after reports that Amorim wants to keep him this season.
Nicolo Schira reported on X that the Rossoneri are now in talks ‘trying’ to keep him, with his deal expiring in the summer of 2027. If no agreement can be reached, it will be interesting to see if there is a reversal on the decision.
For now, though, talks are ongoing.

Chukwueze is RWB while Barte and Saelemakers (can also be RWB) will be LWB.
hence we need then 2 CAMs, 1 RWB, 1 CB and 1 ST.
Asllani, Inacio, Brahim Diaz, Soule (Nkunku swap), Cambiaso/Dedic/Doue
They all like him up until that point when they start to see through the guy and then they just don’t like him anymore, some can’t even stand seeing him but it isn’t his fault, the other side is to be blamed
for that because they all fall for the same trick over and over again.
P.S. Why are we keeping Ricci, what use can there be of that player?
I’m not saying that I think Ricci is great. But he has a major advantage from a list perspective as a midfield rotation.
The squad rules strongly encourage 4 exclusive National trained player slots.

Bondo.
We know Bondo is already excluded.
There is no competition for him at the moment unless they start recruiting some more Italian trained players.
That is his only advantage, really.

Absolutely worth it! Both him and Ricci, absolutely worth it! Both should have their contracts renewed. One of the best things this club has done/is doing, is to get rid of the useless Fofo, along other termites.
RLC and Ricci absolutely deserve staying!
p.s if Amorim thinks he can perhaps improve Musah, he should definitely add Pavlovic to the list and improve his footing and ball carrying/control because he’s like an ostrich running forward, which at any moment is about to stumble on his own feet 🙄
what has ricci done? fofana is double the player of ricci , its unfortunate he cant shoot to save his life. RLC on the other hand has proven himself. if ricci wasnt italian then hed be gone by daylight
As opposed to fofo being in front of the goal and missing out by tripping on his own feet. Yeah, sure mate.
He’s happy to be a squad player and for all we know we’re offering a 1 year extension with a reduced salary. He is still eligible for the tax reduction too IIRC.
Yeah, if we bump his salary and add 4 years to it maybe it’s not a great idea but he’s an experienced squad player who’s been dedicated to us; if he stays we can do worse for 4th/5th choices in the positions he plays

I wouldn’t be surprised they extend him to then sell him for a higher profit then they could get him now. At 30 yo, he’s gonna be slower and more injury prone. Just need him to produce similar performance against Man U then we can sell him at a better price point.
He is not dumb, his intention is to stay and play as less as possible for a good wage, I can bet on it.
