CorSera: Milan interested in reuniting with Roma midfielder – Mourinho’s call will be key

By Oliver Fisher -

Bryan Cristante is one of the players who could leave Roma this summer and AC Milan are one of the teams interested in him, a report claims.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), there are many suitors for the 27-year-old starting with Milan who had him in their youth academy before they let him leave to try a new experience at Benfica.

He has made 27 appearances in Serie A plus 9 in the Conference League this season for the Giallorossi and has been a useful player for Jose Mourinho, but it seems the decision will rest on his shoulders.

If the Portuguese head coach decided to ask for him to be kept,  talks over a renewal would start with his contract expiring in 2024. However, another player would have to be sacrificed in order to keep him and for this reason his future remains decidedly uncertain, with an exit more likely than a stay.
