SM: Milan inclined to use €4.5m option and frustrate Mourinho as Pioli gives approval

The Milan management are gathering more ideas about how they want the squad to look next season and there could be some changes at full-back.

As we have learned from our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Alessandro Florenzi – who is currently on loan at Milan from Roma – is convincing the Rossoneri who are now seriously considering buying the player permanently.

The right-back is on a paid loan of €1m with an option to buy set at €4.5m after Roma opened to his sale in the summer despite a campaign in France with PSG during which he racked up 36 appearances and 2 goals.

Jose Mourinho would like to have Florenzi at his disposal but the clause gives Maldini the chance to close the deal by paying the agreed amount (as already happened with Tomori), and now Milan are willing to use that clause after Stefano Pioli gave the green light.

Other situations

The renewal of Theo Hernandez allows Milan to fans sleep peacefully because it removes the threat of another Calhanoglu, Donnarumma and Kessie situation. Davide Calabria is now untouchable and often wears the captain’s armband, too.

Fode Ballo-Touré does not seem to be a big part of the plans moving forward meanwhile despite only joining last summer from Monaco, but more on him soon.
