Ante Rebic is running out of time to prove how valuable he is to AC Milan’s cause as the management have identified a potential reinforcement for the attack.
Rebic is increasingly a mysterious object as the Croatian striker hit double figures in goals during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 season, but he only got three last season and has been afflicted by frequent injuries which have never allowed him to return in a consistant manner.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the time available for Rebic to find his rhythm again seems to be running out as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will consider a sale.
The directors will try to find him a new home and will look for a permanent deal, one which could generate around €13m. This is important liquidity that the Rossoneri could also decide to reinvest to sign a player like Hakim Ziyech, who Chelsea want around €20m to sell.
Just saw highlights of Rebic’s performances a few years ago… Boy, when he’s good, he’s REALLY good. Such a shame his body isn’t getting any younger.
And while Ziyech would be an upgrade, this rumor has no credibility as his salary demands is something Milan cannot afford.
This is such bs. If we actually sold rebic like we should have then we shouldn’t use his funds on ziyech. Use on a guy like doku or somebody with potential etc. I’d love to save every penny and go for Mudryk in the summer but thats just me
Why would anyone pay that much for Rebic. Inconsistent when he’s healthy which is hardly ever. If you could sell him for 6 mil you would be lucky.
It makes sense to sell one injury prone player to get another one. And a guy that thinks he is 3 times better than he is. 😀 I highly doubt this. We will remain with Origi for LW backup? He is injured even more than Rebić… 😀
