Taking a look at Milan’s last five meetings with Sassuolo – one anomaly

By Isak Möller -

Tomorrow afternoon, AC Milan will take on Sassuolo in the 14th round of Serie A, looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last weekend. And there is no doubt that the Rossoneri are the favourites.

Sassuolo haven’t started the season particularly well and Milan are flying high after the win against Atletico Madrid mid-week. In short, Stefano Pioli’s men should collect all three points in front of a sold out San Siro tomorrow.

In the last five games between these two sides, Milan have been the most successful with three wins, one draw and one loss. The latter came in the most recent clash between the two as Giacomo Raspadori turned things around at the San Siro.

Before that, there were two away games in a row which Milan won 2-1, while the two home games prior to those ended 0-0 and 1-0. As said, the Rossoneri will be the favourites heading into tomorrow’s game but they cannot repeat the mistakes of the Fiorentina clash.
